Character
A subdivision of classical dance, character is an integral part of much of the classical ballet repertoire. It creates theatrical performance by merging folk movement, song and style. Among other things, character helps students develop musicality, stage presence and expressiveness.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Much like ballet, dancers wear a black bodysuit, pink tights, however in lieu of slippers, they wear character shoes and a character skirt. Hair must be up and tied in a bun.
